Counselling and Consulting grounded in reflective practice
About
I am a counsellor and consultant working with individuals and organizations on questions of meaning, discernment, direction, and purpose, particularly in periods of difficulty, transition, or uncertainty. My work is grounded in reflective conversations and practical suggestions, shaped through constructive and grounded orientations drawn from psychological and social theories.I am trained in psychology and social work and hold a doctoral degree in the social sciences. Before establishing this practice, I worked across academic, clinical, and applied settings, including research, teaching, and direct practice. These experiences shape an approach that takes personal experience seriously while remaining attentive to the social and institutional contexts in which it unfolds. My approach is dialogical and non-directive. I do not offer quick solutions or standardized frameworks. Instead, the work proceeds through careful attention to experience, language, and relation, with the aim of supporting clarity, sound judgment, and purposeful action.
A space for you
I offer individual counselling for adults seeking a dedicated space to think through personal difficulties, decisions, and periods of transition. Sessions are structured, confidential, and focused on the concerns the client brings, without predetermined or manualized frameworks. The work may involve examining patterns of thought and behavior, navigating relational tensions, or addressing uncertainty related to work, identity, or life changes. Counselling is collaborative and proceeds at a pace that supports sustained attention rather than rapid solutions. This is private, non-emergency counselling. I do not provide crisis intervention or psychiatric treatment, and this work is not a substitute for medical or emergency care when that is required.
for your organization
I work with organizations and institutions on issues related to mental health, decision making, and organizational functioning. My consulting work is organized around two core areas: research and evaluation, and implementation and training.Research and evaluation work includes applied research, program development support, and evaluation of existing initiatives. This may involve needs assessments, qualitative or mixed-methods research, program review, and the translation of findings into practical recommendations for policy, practice, or organizational design.Implementation and training work focuses on putting research and organizational intentions into practice. This includes workshops and training, advisory support, and assistance in shaping workplaces to function more effectively by improving attention to mental health and the quality of relationships between employees and stakeholders.Where appropriate, I also work directly with organizations as a trained mental health specialist, providing on-site support. This may include one-to-one counselling, group-based support, or organization-wide arrangements designed to support staff while remaining aligned with institutional responsibilities and boundaries.Engagements are developed to address the specific needs of the organization or institution and may be project-based or ongoing. Work can be delivered on-site or remotely.
